As of August 2019, there are over 175 online mattress companies. And while it seems counterintuitive to buy a mattress you’ve never seen in person, much less tested, people are doing it. In fact, a survey by the International Sleep Products Association reported that 45% of mattresses sold last year were purchased online, up 10% from the previous year.

You’ve got to love marketing! I’m sure there is a large group of people, “thinkers,” stuck in a conference room somewhere in a big city just racking their brains over the next great gimmick, tag line or cute mascot… They are trying to figure out how to get you, the consumer, to let go of your hard earned money and hand it over to their client.
